Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) Golf League

The actual start date of the Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P) league is somewhat unknown. Recollections by a few of the past members date the start of the league in the mid 1970’s. Initially somewhat of a 'Company Only League' it is quite the opposite today in that only one member actually works for CL&P. The league name has been kept intact out of respect for the individuals who started the league in that they are responsible for the hundreds of lasting friendships that have developed over so many years of league play.

Currently, the league has 36 players. Previous years scheduling and statistics were managed through a series of spreadsheets and word documents that took hours to manage on a weekly basis. In 2007 the league was taken over by three new commissioners who wanted to improve the overall reporting, accuracy and communications within the league. In order to accomplish this it was felt the entire process needed to be automated through the use of a software package.
