Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP) Golf League
FCHP Golf League was founded a short time ago in 2008. We had an extremely successful freshmen year with 10 two man teams. Our format is match play head to head with 10 points total up for grabs for 9 holes with an alternating par 3 closest to the pin contest. Our league couldn't have been made up of a better bunch of guys and gals and we have adopted the motto "A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work".
Now starting our 3rd season and an even more successful 2009 behind us finishing the year with a season ending tournament with a field of 64 players, some handsome trophies and of course a steak dinner. Our 2010 start will be sporting 12 two man teams with about 8 very reliable alternates and gauging from our growth we are planning on around 100 players in the field for our tournament.

It didn't take me very long to decide on using LeagueChief to manage my golf league. I kicked around some others but it kept coming back to LeagueChief and the class "A" support from Andy Wittig and his team at Boomerhaus Software. If I didn't know any better I'd swear these guys sleep with their laptops... they're that good! When we were starting up our new league, I heard all kinds of horror stories about running a league but LeagueChief put that to rest and actually makes it fun to manage. I would recommend this software hands down to anyone starting up or currently commissioning a golf league.By the way... I'm still waiting to hear back from support from one of the competitor's software programs... that was back from 2008!
